The Khon Kaen ChoreographyDevelopment initiative
The Khon Kaen Choreography Development initiative seeks to expand educational and career opportunities for young creators within their local communities. It also provides emerging artists with essential tools for improvisation and choreography, fostering their artistic growth.
Tanatchaporn Kittikong, Assistant Professor of Performing Arts and Head of the Performance Practice Program at Khon Kaen University, and Pongsatorn Yoddamnean, Assistant Professor of Folk & Ritual Performance, have had the privilege of working closely with emerging talents in the performing arts. Through the initiative, they strive to equip young artists with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to thrive in today’s rapidly evolving professional landscape.
This project is led under the artistic direction of Mr. Jitti Chompee, KKCD’s director, artist, and our program adviser, with the support of the Performance Practice Program, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Khon Kaen University, Embassy of Spain in Bangkok, the Ministry of Culture (Thailand) and our partner, the College of Music, Mahasarakham University.
